Your experience begins in the Roman Forum, where Julius Caesar was cremated and honored by the Roman people. Continue through the Imperial Fora to see the Temple of Venus Genetrix and the area where Caesar’s statue once stood. Walk on to the Theatre of Marcellus, a monumental project begun by Caesar and later completed by Augustus.
The final part of the tour focuses on the Ides of March, visiting Largo di Torre Argentina and the nearby Theatre of Pompey, traditionally identified as the site of Caesar’s assassination.
