TURIN FOOD TOUR

Although Turin is renowned for its chocolate, it also has a thriving culinary scene, and was home to the first ‘Eataly’! This culinary tour of Turin is ideal for any foodie! You will discover some of the local delicacies and food produce available in the city.

The tour will start at the ancient Porta Palatina, before entering Europe’s largest open-air food market– the Porta Palazzo. Here you can wander among the market stalls selling a multitude of fresh fruit and vegetables, and also see the covered market, where they sell meat and cheese, you can also sample some of those incredible cheeses.

In addition to this, you’ll visit the local farmers' market, a perfect chance to sample some of the delicious seasonal fruits. After the markets, you’ll head to the Quadrilatero Romano for lunch. Why not try Agnolotti – a local pasta dish, with a glass of local Barolo wine?

After lunch you’ll admire some wonderful baroque architecture - the Church of the Consolata, as well as stop at the nearby Bicerin café where they serve the delicious Bicerin, Turin’s traditional drink. Next, you’ll stroll down Via Garibaldi to Piazza Castello en route to the beautiful Palazzo Carignano, now housing the Museum of the Risorgimento.

Finally, you will arrive at a bar called ‘Pepino’, where they created the first ice cream on a stick, known as Pinguino. A perfect end to an amazing tour!
