This tour is available in a classic version for adults and in a kid-friendly version, specially tailored for families with engaging storytelling and a relaxed pace.
Day 1: Vatican, Historic Landmarks, and Iconic Squares
Begin your journey with a guided visit to the world-famous Vatican Museums, home to an extraordinary collection of art and historical masterpieces. Admire the breathtaking Sistine Chapel, decorated with Michelangelo’s frescoes, before continuing to St. Peter’s Basilica, the spiritual center of Catholicism. The day continues with Castel Sant’Angelo, offering panoramic views over Rome, followed by the timeless Pantheon. Enjoy a leisurely walk through Piazza Navona, then conclude the day at the legendary Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, two of Rome’s most beloved landmarks.
Day 2: Ancient Rome, Jewish Heritage, and Trastevere
Explore the iconic Colosseum area, where gladiators once fought for glory, and walk through the Roman Forum, the political, religious, and social heart of Ancient Rome. Visit Capitol Hill for stunning views and historical context before continuing to the charming district of Trastevere, known for its narrow streets and authentic Roman atmosphere. Discover the historic Jewish Ghetto and stroll across Tiber Island, one of Rome’s oldest inhabited areas.
This day can also be enhanced with an optional Italian cooking class, private or family-friendly, offering a hands-on introduction to traditional Roman cuisine.
Day 3: Ancient Ruins, Religious Sites, and Hidden Gems
On the final day, travel to Ostia Antica, the remarkably well-preserved ancient Roman port city, where you will walk through streets, temples, baths, and homes frozen in time. Conclude the tour with visits to St. Paul’s Basilica Outside the Walls, one of Rome’s most important churches, and the striking Pyramid of Cestius, a unique monument dating back to Roman times.
