Enjoy the highlights of the capital of Italian Renaissance

Stop and admire the stunning Palazzo Strozzi and its perfectly maintained courtyard, then discover a rather unfrequented masterpiece of Medieval architecture at Palazzo Davanzati. Passing through the renowned Porcellino (little pig) market, the guided tour arrives at Ponte Vecchio, the oldest bridge in Florence, built in the 1300’s.
As you relish the stunning view of the hills around Florence, our guide will tell you the history of the bridge and the Vasari Corridor, a piece that surely changed the numerous shops (botteghe) sited on the bridge. Leaving Ponte Vecchio, our tour heads to the political center of Florence: Piazza della Signoria. There you will admire the historic seat of the Florentine Government, Palazzo Vecchio, and the former Great Duke’s Offices on the other side, which nowadays hosts the famous Uffizi Gallery.
Enjoy a detour that will lead you to one of the oldest part of the city, in which you will have the chance to admire tower-houses from the 1300’s. Then, you will emerge in Piazza Duomo, right in front of the stunning Florence Cathedral (Duomo), with its peculiar marble decorations and the unbelievable Brunelleschi’s Dome, whose challenging realization and audacious design are a symbol of the Florentine Renaissance movement, a miracle of architecture.
Our tour ends by the marvelous Porta del Paradiso, the door to the Baptistery, right by the bell tower designed by Giotto, another great example of Medieval architecture.
