Enjoy the view from the Gianicolo hill, visit Villa Pamphili and its beautiful park
There is a place in Rome on the borders of the city center that locals love but only few foreigners visit.
It is a green hill called Gianicolo, the home of Ancient God Janus, and it hosts some of the most beautiful buildings of the city, including academies, embassies and memorials to the country heroes such as Garibaldi.
The view from the top of the hill is breathtaking and it is a famous romantic venue for promenades and memorable photos.
On this special tour you will visit not only the Gianicolo but also the neighboring Villa Pamphili, a sumptuous country residence with gardens that today is a public park.
The tour starts from the precious Church of San Pietro in Montorio and the Bramante Temple, one of Rome's architectural masterpieces.
Optional
If you have time and if they are open on the day you choose, we will also explore the catacombs of St. Pancrace, one of the less known and most interesting undergrounds of the city.
